Cadence COO Connie Plowman has accepted a position on the 2010 PMI Professional Awards Program Member Advisory Group (MAG) this week, joining the ranks of project management professionals supporting the PMI global awards and recognition programs. For more than a decade, Plowman has worked diligently to help build the profession of project management. With PMI Portland, she has served in a wide range of roles; starting in 2002 as VP Certification, in 2004 she presided as president of the chapter, leading to her position as regional component mentor. In 2009, Plowman completed a 2-year term as global leader for the PMI Leadership Institute Advisory Group.

“I am delighted to have been selected to join this distinguished group of global volunteer leaders,” says Plowman. “Having served at the local level on PMI committees for recognizing project excellence, I look forward to contributing at the international level to acknowledge outstanding achievements in project management.”

Plowman joins a distinguished panel of project experts charged with providing professional support and expertise to the PMI Global Operations Center in administration of the Professional Awards Program, including creation of new awards designed to celebrate the accomplishments and professional excellence of project managers around the globe.

Plowman will begin her volunteer term in 2010.
