Portland, OR – PMI (Project Management Institute) has announced that Connie Plowman, COO and Vice President of Cadence Management Corporation, has been selected for the PMI Leadership Institute Masters Class of 2007 – class two. Connie is one of only 25 classmates representing the global and diverse cross section of PMI’s membership and leadership. Connie is currently Region 1 Mentor.
The Leadership Institute Masters Class is a journey of self-discovery and leadership development. Worldwide volunteer leaders participate in the year-long program to develop leadership skills. The robust training is similar to that which leaders of globally recognized companies receive. In addition, Masters Class training complements leadership development initiatives within many organizations. The Masters Class is designed to provide intensive ongoing training, development and support for a limited class of participants so that each participant receives focused attention and support throughout the program.
Connie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute, and an active member of PMI. As a volunteer leader for PMI, Connie has held various positions on the PMI Portland Board of Directors, including VP Certification, President-Elect and Chapter President. She is the Immediate Past President for the PMI-Portland Chapter.
